The Moonbots were the crew of MiM's ship, Moon Clipper. Dedicated to serving and protecting MiM and his family, the Moonbots are loyal companions, although sometimes the dry air of the moon leaves their robot joints creaking.[1]

- The Moonbots became the mascot/namesake for William Joyce's studio: Moonbot Studios; located in Shreveport, Louisiana, where they made the Oscar-Winning "Morris Lessmore" film.
- According to Brandon Oldenburg, the Moonbot was the first character created by William and him; so it made sense for them to name the studio after it.[1]
