I've tried to put up a different avatar picture, but whatever pictures I try to put up, it says it's too big. How can I change my avatar picture with using one of my own pictures?
I was just glancing through the Items page when a sudden thought accured to me. Except I've never really tried editing anything in the category page (and I'm not too confident to actually attempt it), so I'd thought you if you'd like the idea of making a "vehicles" section. you know just in case someone really like the Moon Clipper and wants to look at other aircrafts like the Nightmare Galleon. Then we could also add north's sleigh, Bunnymund's train, Sandy's ship and....does Djinni Robot count as an mode of transportation?
Nevermind! I was just wondering if youd think that would be a good idea or not :)

Ni hao (that's 'hello' in chinese), I was on Jack Frost's page and I clicked on one of the references (the last one to be exact) and as I read it, I saw some things that one of the actresses from the rotg movie said. I thought something like that probably shouldn't be on a site where a lot of believers are, the website that is. And I'm 13 by the way. I also hope you see this before other people do. I hope you see what I mean.

I thought I'd bring the dicussion to your wall since I know how annoying it is when ppl go off on tangents on forums.
The film was aweful. I was very hopeful at first, following Mr shan posts and the pictures on set. I heard about Cormac Limbs being turned into Corma and it didn't bother me, it was a minor character and they probably thought there weren't enough females. That's fine.
But then the trailer came out and it looked...awkward. The effects made me cringe and none of the actors looks like how I envisioned the characters. for one Darren was too old for the role, especially when a major factor of the story was that he drastically got older later (I don't know if its just coincidence but every kid film/show from america always seems unable to get kids the right age. Hell, the guys on Harry Potter had enough sense to look for a 10 (so Radcliffe would be 11 by the time of filming. Its common sense).
The story itself has terrible pacing. I always imagine the first three books would make up the three acts, but I realise even for how short the books are they wouldn't make up a film in that short of time span. I always imagined Cirque Du Freak would make up most of the film, and to save on time they would try and incorparate both Sam's home and Mr Crepsley's town into one location (Sam would live on the outskirts near a field where the circus would be settling) for The Vampire's assistant and Tunnels of blood. We'd still get the growing friendship with Sam and the appearance of Debbie (I don't know maybe we could make them a four man band trying to solve the Crepsly mystery like Scooby Doo XD ).
Morlough would be the big bad of the film and ultimately it would end with Sam getting killed and Darren taking his blood. Obviously Debbie can't be present for any of this or we wouldn't have the big reveal later on in the series, but I don't mind them changing things a bit and making her the "secret keeper" and Darren promising to return some day. Just a thought.
That may not be the best plot, it would have been a lot more faithful than what we got.
I understand Mr Shan is proud of what they did and saw the love went into it, and even my borther who never read the books watched it and said "Its ok". But as a fan of the books, this was terrible.
Many characters annoyed me, Evra being obsessed with music just because Darren got him a CD player in one of the books, Madame Truska speaking english which is a BIG NO, and the fact Mr Crepsley and Gavner switch personalities. And Debbie does not exist!!! I understand it would have been a lot easier to squeeze in a romantic subplot in the actual circus than getting Darren to another location. but really? Debbie is a normal girl! Something from his previous life Darren can cling to!Have it so she lives in Darren's home town and he has a crush on her. Don't make her a freak! and if you're gonna make a freak then just call her Debbie! you're not fooling anyone!
Steve was terrible! It was clear from the get go Steve was not meant to be likeable. He had no respect for his mother, got in trouble, a bit full of himself and bit demented. This guy...nothing like I imagined. Rather then being playful and creepy, the actor plays him as angry and bitter. and Darren himself doesn't sell the fact he's obsessed with spiders. If anything he looked uncomfrtable about Madame Octa.
And it plays it more like a comedy. Darren gets out a gameboy in his coffin...does that even need explaining? The whole sequence is Darren panicing and trying to keep himself still for as long as possible to save on what preish air he has.
Darren telling his sister the truth. Terrible! Like I said in my argument. The whole reason Mr. Crepsley's tells Darren this is the ebst method is because he is sparing his family HIS burden. By letting the secret out, you're saying there's no reason he couldn't have just told his parents as well.
Mt Tiny in general, not needed for this film, he should have just been the quiet unsettling man in the backgroud pulling the strings (that what he does anyway). The vapaneze I hated and the kidnapping scene was frustrating.
This could have been a good saga and instread its treated like a cheap comedy with no redeeming value. The only consolation I have is that the manga is beautiful and well written, and I can only hope it does get adapted into a anime series just so we can show the creators how a Darren Shan SHOULD look like.

Also, you remember that scene in the begining where we go into Darren's head and see his parents discussing his grade in an endless loop?
In the books, Darren multiple times said he doesn't like coffin and yet in the movie he is okay with it? He's like yes a coffin how I love coffins XD
Another thing is the super-speed, only full vampire can use it not half vampires but in the movie everyone can use it. They didn't go into the whole Crepsley background thing and I was really disappointed. I wonder if they are going to introduce his vampire/love interest. That vampire was so cool and strong. They should have tried to focus more in the books. I know things weren't going to be the same but still they just use the name of the main characters and that's it. Also Des Tiny, while he loves destruction, he should have stay more neutral like in the books. In here, he is all evil like and he can create the tiny people without any pool of souls things. Always imagine them to be ugly with something in the mouth to help them breath but they are kind of cute (in a creepy way) in the movie.
This is the Manga/Comic of the series. It follows the book and the character are younger like they are suppose to be. They havent updated for awhile which is kind of sad but the 70 somethings chapters are amazing. If you can read them and tell me what you think.

I don't mean explaining them in the caption btw, i mean(before you changed it)the Jack Frost's sister page said "She only appears once during Jack's memories." and there was a pic in the gallery from the part when Jamie said "Jack i'm scared" and Jack remembered his sister saying that, the pic came from THAT scene not Jack's memories scene, so i wanted it to say that she was seen in another scene not just the one, i couldn't care less about the caption. Anywho so i was looking in the Jamie Bennett page, it's blocked from editing so maybe you could add "Jamie looks like Jack Frost's little sister and it's possible he could be a desenent or recarnation of her" since it says that in the Trivia on Jack Frost's sister page. And i don't know if theres a Jamie's mom or the Bennett family page, but i found a pic/gif of Jamie's mom.
Oh I lock the Jamie page because we have much of the information already and I check every edit a person does and I found out someone (I know who it is but not saying any names) added Emma Snow (as ally), Monkey King(as enemy) and deleted some source to the page.
So I wanted to be nice and not block the person so I lock the page. The thing that bothers me more about this person is that he/she is trying to edit pages without knowing anything of the characters. He/she doesn't add any important info that isn't putting a letter bold or adding a period.
When I edit a page, I research before adding the information just to have proof and sources.
About Jamie's mom is that she doesn't have such an important role in the movie and we can't see her face in the movie just her back. I'll have to ask @BlackSteel about it.

Who the heck is Emma Snow? It sounds like Jack's sister. And does the person know there doing some thing wrong? Did you warn them, or at least TELL them? Cuz they could be like me, ugh, some times i should just STOP trying to help... and i know you check every edit, that, btw, is REALLY smart. And i know it just shows her back(same with Jack's mom)but still, wow, that's kinda sad, i didn't see the Tumblr thing. Ya, i kinda wanna know how to make a page on the wiki, but that could go wrong, if it were MY wiki every pic of the character and every word they say would be on the wiki... ya, but i wouldn't do that here, so how do you make nw pages?

When creating a page:
there's a bar on the top right corner that says "contribute" when you press it will said Edit This Page, Add Photos, Add Page Ect.
You choose to add page and just name your page and start editing.
When creating a page tried to make one that is necessary to wiki because if we create a page that doesn't have an important role then it just a "Stub" and I'll delete them.
Guardian Stone's page is a page I deleted 3 times and people just kept creating it. The reason I deleted is because
there's no name confirmed for it.
When they created the page they didn't add anything to it just The Guardian Stone is a rock. Or a blue rock.
And I'm like what? So because I knew that if I deleted it they were just going to create it again; I started to read the novelization of the movie and screen shot some parts of the movie so I could give this page more information to it.
I don't like that people think that "Oh I just created this page and other people will just edit it for me."
When I create a page I research first and then make the page. I have spend hours just to make 1 page. I look for multiple sources, good quality photos and enough information so the page can "survive".
Always ask an admin before creating a page just in case we need to add the page or combine it with another or to see if the page is need it on the wiki.
That's mean! Why would they ignore you? Why do you have to ask another admin if YOU'RE a admin to create a page? Oh, i was looking at the "create a wiki" button, okay. And why did you start talking about a stone? That was a bit random, i don't wanna know about pages that you deleted! XD And the part when you said you don't like it when people think that when they create a page people will edit it for them, they kinda seem lazy when you say it like that. I would have an issue with that actually... Ugh, all that research seems like it would be REALLY long and boring, but i guess it's important if you spend so much time on it. So can i create 2 pages, 1.The Overland Family(that's the one i want to do the most)and 2.The Bennett Family? I got info for it but i could do research on it anyway. And one last thing, if you become a admin on one wiki you're on, does that mean you're atomatically a admin on the other wikis you've joined?
The thing about them is that to create them we have to know more about Jamie's family and more about Jack's sister and their family trees and since their relationships are not explore in the movie or in a book (for now) it will be hard to expand them without adding fan-made/fake/non-canon information.
I sometimes ask BlackSteel because she has more knowledge and the books so she knows more than I do about the character and if we can expand their pages or not.
Okay, so i have to wait to find out if i can make the page? And the admin question! If you become a admin on one wiki you're on, are you atomatically a admin on the OTHER wiki's you're on?
