We know that Pitch was defeated, when he returned a seconed time. But where did he go, before he returned in the rise of the gurdians movie? Did he just sulk in the shadows? Or, did he find a lover? This is the story of Anrina Deathly, and how she died.

Pitch Black was sick of sulking in the shadows, which he had done so for the past 6 months. Not that he was complaining, because that time had allowed him to meet and fall in love with his new soul mate, who would help him gain power again. Her name was Anrina Deathly, and was a sun child. She could age like a human, and looked like one too. That is, execpt for the fact that she had a life span of 200 years, had powers over fire, and eyes as black and soulless as a new moon. She loved him a lot, and was already heavy with his child. That child would be his key to rising again, and deafeting those sensless gurdians. This child would be one of nightmares, made out of the tainted dream sand he had perfected and completly heartless. She would be able to contol the nightmares, and would spread fear throughout the land. Yes, he couldn't wait until the child was born.

Anrina Deathly silently collected branches and bark of various spice bushes. She knew the child would come soon, so the deed would have to be done. She loved this life, and didn't want to do the riatul. But for the child's sake, she would purifuy it in the flames of her life force.

Soon came the time for the riatul, on the harvest moon. She went to the meadow and began to build the nest of spices. This riatul had been done many times by her berthen, the Phoniex. Now it was her turn. The bonfire complete, she stepped in and lit it on fire. As the flames burned her away, tehy revealed the nightmare child. But the flames of her life cleansed it, and burned away every bit of dream sand. Soon, there was nothing left but a bed of ashes, with the child in the middle of them. The only thing left of Anrina was her cloak, firery red like her hair.
